Brain cancer is a disease that has taken the lives of two of the most loved and inspiring individuals in my life. I want to Cross the Canyon in memory of my mother, Kathy Perritano Ely, who passed away when I was in second grade from an Astrocytoma brain tumor. And for my brother, Christopher Michael Ely, who passed away just two days after Christmas last year from Glioblastoma, Stage IV brain cancer. An illness that took him quicker than any of us had ever imagined and a fight that, to witness, will never match up to anything else in my life. All in hopes to bring awareness and raise funds to help find a cure for the ones living with and impacted by brain cancer.
